What are EN166 Safety Glasses

If a pair of glasses is marked as EN 166 certified, it is deemed to protect you from hazards that may contribute to damage to your eyes. The EN 166 standard is a broad category that covers several different types beneath it, all covering different elements of protection under its umbrella.

What is the Difference Between EN 166S and EN 166F Safety Glasses?

EN 166 S is a robustness standard and is a specific standard for safety glasses. EN 166 F is rated for higher levels of protection than S. almost all of our frames and lenses meet this higher standard.

I'm interested in varifocals, how do you calculate my Segment Height?

If you are ordering Varifocals you will need to know your Segment Height. This is a measurement specific to whichever frame you are looking to buy. To get the segment height we recommend that you purchase a non-prescription version of the frame you have chosen, take the measurements, and then return the glasses to us for a refund and begin a new order for your new prescription pair with the correct segment height.

Can you do Prisms in your glasses?

Yes we can, make us aware of your requirement in the 'Additional Notes' section, or otherwise upload an image of your prescription with the prism values visible.

What is the difference between Single Vision and Digital Single Vision?

Digital Single Vision lenses are made using a more modern manufacturing process by which we can reduce the distortion around the edges of your lenses, which is more common in stronger prescriptions over +/- 3 spheres

Can I get dark lenses?

Yes, we offer a selection of tints viewable when you select the 'Buy with Prescription' button. We even offer Transition tints that change depending upon the light.
